NFL: Top 25 boldest predictions for the rest of the season: 16. Packers have best record in NFL

This one doesn’t seemˆbold now because the Green Bay Packers are tied for the best record in the NFC, but Aaron Rodgers just got COVID, and the media learned he had been lying about getting vaccinated. So now, Rodgers is absolutely out one game, and he could be out for two games. There’s also the narrative the Packers have to face on a weekly basis because of the decision by Rodgers.

Rodgers has been MVP-level good so far this season, especially after beating the previously undefeated Cardinals without Davante Adams and Allan Lazard. He’s someone who loves to play with a chip on his shoulder. This is going to be even more of a chip on his shoulder now.

The Packers don’t exactly have an easy schedule coming up. They still have the Ravens, Rams, Seahawks (likely with Russell Wilson back), and Browns still on the schedule. However, 14-3 might get it done for the number-one seed if they are able to win that Rams game. The Cardinals now have a banged up Kyler Murray, and the Dallas Cowboys will eventually add a few losses to the resumé. There’s no way this can continue in the NFC where there are four teams with only one loss. Eventually, teams will start to lose, and the Packers will be the last ones standing.
