4. Perfect Fit: Desmond Ridder, QB, Cincinnati – Denver Broncos

If the Denver Broncos don’t make a run at Deshaun Watson or Aaron Rodgers, John Elway and company should bring Teddy Bridgewater back. With that said, they’ll need someone to develop behind Bridgewater — Desmond Ridder is the perfect fit.

The 6-4 215-pound quarterback is a toolsy prospect that’ll benefit from sitting for a season or two. Ridder can make off-platform throws, on the run, side-arm, you name it, he can do it. The Bearcat passer flashed accuracy at every level of the field. Thanks to his powerful arm, he fit throws into tight windows.

The Broncos have enough talent to make Ridder’s transition an easy one. Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton will make his life easy, along with Noah Fant, as a reliable safety blanket at tight end. Running backs Melvin Gordon and the powerful Javonte Williams will help take the pressure off him.

With his ability to run, he’ll help open up lanes for them with RPOs. Ridder has the athleticism to help him excel early on. Ridder runs with power; he breaks tackles and can take it to the house.

Ridder is raw, but with teams looking for quarterbacks like him, he could hear his name called in the first round. If the Broncos have a shot at him, they should take it.
