Dallas Cowboys bold prediction No. 1: Dak Prescott outgains Mahomes by 100 yards

This season, Dak Prescott has been playing out of his mind. After missing nearly the entire 2020 campaign, Prescott has come back in 2021 with a vengeance. Through eight games, he has 2,341 yards with 20 touchdowns against just eight picks.

He’s also been incredibly accurate, completing a career-high 70.3 percent of his throws on the season. This play has him being mentioned among the favorites for not only the Comeback Player of the Year Award but also the 2021 NFL MVP.

On Sunday, he can make a huge argument for himself should he be able to outduel Patrick Mahomes. While it’s true Mahomes hasn’t been as sharp as he normally is this season, he’s still been insanely good — we’re just so used to near perfection that his 2,940 yards, 25 touchdowns, 10 picks, and 6-4 record feel abnormal.

Mahomes is coming off his best game of the season and that makes this showdown even more exciting. It could also fire up Prescott who will want to prove he belongs amongst the best.

This final prediction is that Prescott not only throws for more yardage than Mahomes in a victory, but that he throws for 100 yards more than the Chiefs superstar.

That won’t guarantee he wins the MVP but it will be a signature win for him that could truly help his cause.
