Denver Broncos add more offensive weaponry

With their first of two third-round selections, the Denver Broncos dip back into the wide receiver position.

It’s likely we see at least one of Courtland Sutton or Tim Patrick back for 2022, but in what capacity? Will Sutton be extended or merely franchise tagged? Will George Paton let Tim Patrick hit free agency or will he re-sign him to a fair market deal?

If only one of Sutton/Patrick is brought back for the 2022 season, another target at receiver with size and downfield playmaking ability would be a great use of a third-rounder.

Jalen Tolbert is quickly becoming a favorite among the NFL Draft community if he wasn’t already.

For three straight seasons, Tolbert has been a force for the USA Jaguars, averaging about 18 yards per catch and a touchdown in two out of every three games he plays.

One of Tolbert’s most impressive traits? He can track the ball in the air with the best of them, and he always does a great job of high-pointing and making plays at the catch point. He’s also exceptional in the open field after the catch and he’s got some burners at 6-foot-3.

Again, the Broncos need to add to their team speed, and possibly replacing one of Sutton or Patrick on the roster with a guy like Tolbert would accomplish that.
