3rd pick – New York Jets: Derek Stingley Jr., CB, LSU

30. Pick Analysis. CB. LSU. Derek Stingley Jr.. Scouting Report. 3. player

The New York Jets have been going heavy on the offensive side of the ball in their last couple of draft classes. After hiring Robert Saleh as the team’s head coach, the expectation was that that unit would play above their means, and they have done exactly that.

We have seen what Saleh’s defenses can do with elite talent, and that’s what the Jets are going to prioritize in this mock draft scenario.

Derek Stingley Jr. went down with a season-ending injury but he is still the CB1 of this class and will be coveted come time for the 2022 NFL Draft.

He has size, ball skills, and plays with advanced technique.

4th pick – Jacksonville Jaguars: Evan Neal, OT, Alabama

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. OT. player. 52. Alabama. Evan Neal. 4

The Jacksonville Jaguars luck out in this scenario and still manage to get Evan Neal despite three teams ahead of them in the draft order.

Neal is an unbelievable athlete for his size and has taken the next steps in his game to warrant a top-five selection in next year’s draft.

Guys who check-in at 6-foot-7, 357 pounds are not supposed to be as flexible and mobile as Neal. He’s a stud and would fit in nicely as Trevor Lawrence’s blindside protector for the foreseeable future.
