NFL: Ranking the worst QB Chemistry in the league: 19. Carson Wentz to Jack Doyle – Indianapolis Colts

Jack Doyle was once an up-and-coming tight end in this league. He made the Pro Bowl in 2017 and had 80 catches for 690 yards and four touchdowns. It looked like the Colts were getting the second coming of Dallas Clark in Jack Doyle. He’s been there for four seasons since then, and he has a total of 106 catches in the four seasons since then. He got hurt in the season right after his Pro Bowl year, and it’s been all downhill since then.

This season, Doyle has built zero chemistry with new quarterback Carson Wentz. Doyle has 14 catches on 22 targets this season. He’s sharing time with Mo Allie-Cox, but he’s still listed as. the top tight end on the depth chart.

Doyle is getting older, as he’s now past the wrong side of 30. He was able to stick around the Colts for nine seasons. He should know this team inside and out, but it just doesn’t seem like the chemistry is close to there between Wentz and Doyle. It’s a shame since this would likely help everyone involved.
