NFL Thanksgiving Day prediction #4: Josh Allen’s struggles continue
The Buffalo Bills don’t have long to lick their wounds after an ugly loss to the Indianapolis Colts at home this past weekend.
The Bills have lost two of their last three games, including the blowout loss to the Jaguars and a 6-9 loss against the Jacksonville Jaguars, which might be the one loss this NFL season that is the most difficult to come to grips with.
Don’t look now, but among the Bills’ 10 games this season, Josh Allen has had a completion percentage of 60 percent or worse in four games, including this past weekend against the Colts.
Dating back to his time at Wyoming and all the way up until the 2020 season, Allen had struggled to complete passes at a high rate, but it seemed like that issue was behind him during his near-MVP season in 2020.
Over the last month, it’s been a major struggle for Allen and it certainly doesn’t get any easier against the New Orleans Saints, who despite their recent struggles still rank in the top 10 in scoring defense.
This is a tough road matchup on a short week for Allen, who has been struggling anyway.
Unless the Bills’ defense can find a way to create turnovers early on and make Allen’s job super easy all night, I think the Bills’ QB is in for a bit of a tough day.
