2021 NFL Bold Prediction No. 10: Nick Chubb wins the rushing title

At this point in time, this prediction might seem a little far-fetched. Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb is currently in fourth place in the NFL with 867 rushing yards which puts him 338 yards behind the league leader, Jonathan Taylor of the Indianapolis Colts.

Taylor has been so dominant this season that he’s been given MVP consideration already, which is nearly unheard of for running backs anymore. The league is so quarterback-driven that the award is pretty much always given to a signal-caller anymore, so the fact that Taylor is earning this praise so late in the year is a testament to how well he’s been playing.

So how can Nick Chubb who is so far behind and missed three games this season catch him? The answer is simply a refocus from the coaching staff.

After their worst performance of the season on the ground against Baltimore, the Browns coaches are going into their bye week and they need to figure out how to improve their offense down the stretch. And the answer is easy — more Nicholas Jamal Chubb.

Cleveland will put everything they have on his plate and he will not only revamp their offense, but he will win the NFL rushing title as he surpasses Taylor with a 200-plus yard performance in Week 17 to take the crown.
