2021 NFL picks, score predictions for Week 14

Dallas Cowboys (8-4) at Washington Football Team (6-6)

More than likely, this one will be closer than anyone expects. While the Dallas Cowboys are great on paper, they haven’t shown the consistency to earn our weekly confidence. Meanwhile, the Washington Football Team has won three straight and is eager for a trip to the playoffs.

Again, on paper, the Cowboys should have this one in the bag. They’ve got one of the most talented group of offensive skill players in the league, and plenty of defensive strength as well. They’re a well-rounded group, but they haven’t been nearly as dominant as they’re capable of throughout the 2021 campaign.

Washington will be relying heavily on Taylor Heinicke to work his magic and Antonio Gibson to produce consistent numbers on the ground. As long as those two things happen, the Football Team should be in this one until the final whistle blows.

I feel the need to play this one safe, though, so I’m rolling with the Cowboys. Their defense should be able to keep Heinicke from causing too many problems, and Dak Prescott should have his way with this D.C. secondary.
