As well as Washington has been playing, they have a fatal flaw — pass defense. According to Pro Football Reference, they have surrendered 3,167 yards passing and 26 touchdowns in 12 games while only intercepting six passes.

That puts them 30th overall in yardage, 25th in interceptions, and dead-last in touchdowns given up. Dallas, however, is on the other end of the spectrum when it comes to passing the ball.

As of Week 14, they had 3,447 yards with 25 touchdowns and nine picks. That has then in the top-10 in every category, including sixth in yards, fifth in touchdown passes, and fourth in total passing yards. What makes that more impressive is the fact that they still haven’t been at their best.

In order to secure a win over Washington, they will need that to change. Dallas is going to have to play to their full potential because we all know how competitive these rivalry games can be. And with their running backs all banged up, the passing game will be more important than ever.

Right now, Dallas has three guys who can really do damage at receiver in Michael Gallup, Amari Cooper, and CeeDee Lamb. They also have Dalton Schultz at tight end, who can give teams problems as well.

Having said all that, Lamb has emerged as the big playmaker amongst the group. He currently has 57 receptions for 829 yards and six touchdowns — leading the way in every category. And on Sunday, Dallas will need him to continue to break out in order to keep Washington from pulling out a win in the end.

Dallas is the favorite, as they should be, but these players need to step up in order for them to secure this big victory.
