Houston Texans (2-11) at Jacksonville Jaguars (2-11)

Sunday, December 19, 1PM ET

There’s no way around it — both of these teams are terrible in 2021. Both the Houston Texans and Jacksonville Jaguars are 2-11 heading into Week 15 and have had a hard time even making their games worth watching so far this season. So really, who cares about this one?

Well that’s against the point. So my prediction for this one is that the Texans come out on top. Despite their record, they’ve at least been component for most of their games this season. The same can’t be said for the Jaguars, a team that has been awful in recent weeks while they work through serious drama within the organization.

Furthermore, Trevor Lawrence has struggled mightily in his first season as the face of the Jaguars’ future. That may be partly due to the failed leadership of Urban Meyer, but it’s been a frustrating outcome for a quarterback that was supposed to be a gamechanger.

Either way, this one probably isn’t worth tuning in for unless you’re a diehard fan or are invested for fantasy purposes (which wouldn’t be ideal). Houston gets the win, and the Jaguars get that much closer to locking up the No. 2 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.

Prediction: Texans win 19-13 | Spread: Jaguars (-3)
