1. Russel Wilson, Seattle Seahawks

The past couple of seasons have been up and down for Russell Wilson and the Seattle Seahawks. Not long ago, there were reports that he was wanting out and that he had his eyes on the New York Giants. Eventually, the two sides were able to patch things up, and Wilson ended up signing a new contract ahead of the 2019 season to keep him in Seattle.

That four-year, $140 million extension seemed to end the speculation that Wilson could be on the move, but that wasn’t the case. Instead, it just put it on hold and as we got to the NFL 2021 season, we saw the rumors heat up once again.

And while Wilson has a no-trade clause, there are reports that he would waive that in order to finally end up with the Giants. There are other teams on his radar as well, as Wilson is rumored to have interest in the New Orleans Saints and Denver Broncos as well.

As of now, nothing is sure when it comes to where Wilson will play in 2022. What is for sure, however, is that it’s never good for a team’s franchise quarterback to have a list of teams he’s willing to waive his no-trade clause for.

Clearly, Wilson already has one foot out the door and the frustrating season Seattle has had on the field only makes it more likely that he could be playing his final two games with the team that drafted him in 2012.
