Pick Analysis. Pitt. player. 87. Scouting Report. QB. Kenny Pickett. 7

7. Carolina Panthers: Kenny Pickett, QB, Pitt

When you can’t decide between a struggling Cam Newton and a struggling Sam Darnold, you have problems. That’s what’s going on now for the Carolina Panthers who were teased by each quarterback when they first took over this season.

Darnold started out 3-0 and looked to be a steal for them. Then he came to earth and once he was hurt, they brought back Cam Newton who had a quick start but fell off the map in a hurry.

With all that being said, Carolina now decides to go with Kenny Pickett from Pitt. He was already quite the prospect before his infamous fake slide got him a ton of attention and he could prove to finally be the player to once again make the Panthers relevant.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. OT. player. NC State. Ikem Ekwonu. 8. 31

8. New York Giants (via Chicago Bears): Ikem Ekwonu, OT, NC State

Dave Gettelman is likely headed out of New York and easily the biggest failure under his watch was the offensive line rebuild. He promised he would fix the line and it simply hasn’t been good. Of course, the rest of the roster isn’t either but that’s a different story.

After adding Kayvon Thibodeaux with their own pick, the Giants now have the Bears selection which they earned in the Justin Fields trade. Now, they bolster the offensive line with Ikem Ekwonu. One of the top offensive line prospects in this class, he could pair with Andrew Thomas to finally give the G-Men an effective set of tackles.
