2. Chicago Bears

The Chicago Bears are a team that could be really close to contending with the right coaching in place.

The team obviously made a bold move to go up and get Justin Fields with their top pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, and they don’t have a first-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft as a result.

Even so, the Bears’ roster is not devoid of talent, and they are looking for a completely new brain trust.

While Brian Flores’ relationships with the people in Miami had soured to the point that they determined he was the problem, perhaps he can learn from those experiences and continue his trajectory to being a top-flight NFL head coach in Chicago in 2022.

With Fields in place at the QB position, it will be fascinating to see how the Chicago Bears approach their head coaching search in 2022 and what they prioritize.

Given the fact that Flores could not settle on an offensive coordinator for three years in Miami, he would need to have a clear plan in place. However, this Chicago team is in need of the polar opposite of what they got from Matt Nagy.

A coach like Flores could rejuvenate the Bears franchise.
