Lions add another weapon to pair with Amon-Ra St. Brown in 2022 NFL Mock Draft

Pick Analysis. Penn State. 27. player. Scouting Report. WR. Jahan Dotson. 50

27. Detroit Lions (via Los Angeles Rams): Jahan Dotson, WR, Penn State

They went with Aidan Hutchinson with their first pick, giving them a blue-collar defensive end to build the defense around. Now, the Detroit Lions go in a different direction with the selection they got from the Los Angeles Rams as they take Penn State wide receiver Jahan Dotson.

He might not have the size a prototypical No. 1 receiver possesses but he’s a big play waiting to happen — and Detroit’s offense cab use all the big plays they can get.

Pick Analysis. 28. player. 123. Scouting Report. S. Michigan. Daxton Hill

28. Dallas Cowboys: Daxton Hill, S, Michigan

This year, the Dallas Cowboys have gotten a huge boost from Damontae Kazee and Jayron Kearse at safety. They also have Malik Hooker — as for the first time in years, they boast actual talent at the position. The problem is, all three of those players are on a one-year deal.

Should any leave, Dallas is going to need a younger option — and since all played well and could get a pay raise, chances are high that Dallas will pass on them and go with a rookie. That’s where Daxton Hill from Michigan comes in.

Solid in both coverage and in run support, Hill would fit as a deep safety for the Cowboys but he also has enough coverage ability to help in the slot as well. His versatility would be a huge plus for Dan Quinn’s defense, assuming Quinn decides not to leave for one of the open positions that is.
