Miami Dolphins FA target No. 2: Jauan Jennings, WR

The San Francisco 49ers wide receiving corps is an interesting one. Deebo Samuel and Brandon Aiyuk are their top guys but role players constantly step up when called upon. That was the case this year when Jauan Jennings played a huge role in their final win.

Facing the Los Angeles Rams and needing a win in Week 18, Jennings had 94 yards and two touchdowns on six receptions. On the season, he had 24 catches for 282 yards and five touchdowns and added 6 catches for 43 yards in the postseason.

Again, he wasn’t someone who got the ball a lot but he made good when given the opportunity. He also boasts excellent size for the position, standing in at 6-foot-3 and 212-pounds. He’s also done a good job when asked to block in the run game, which will be huge in this scheme.

Of course, the one hold up for Mike McDaniel being able to bring in Jennings is the fact that he’s an exclusive rights free agent. This means the 49ers will be able to keep him if they want to, but again, with him being a role player, he might not be high on their radar.

If that proves to be true, he would be an interesting fit in Miami where they have a star wideout in Jaylen Waddle but can use a guy like Jennings who does the little things.
