2022 NFL Free Agency Defense – Defensive Line

Defensive end, Akiem Hicks

I think my strategy here is to stuff the interior of the defensive line with a bunch of large men.  Hicks is one of the very best on the defensive line, even with his age.  Hicks still has something left in the tank.

Defensive end, Solomon Thomas

There are a ton of very old defensive linemen in NFL free agency, and Thomas appears to be one of the youngest.  He enjoyed a nice year with the Raiders and probably earned himself a decent payday.  Hopefully, Thomas is just now hitting his prime.

Defensive tackle, Larry Ogunjobi

Ogunjobi is an above-average run stuffer who is tasked with patrolling the middle interior of the defense.  Even with his recent foot injury, he is poised to cash in, either from his current team, the Super Bowl-bound Bengals, or a team with a need along the interior.

There you have it, our free agent team.  I have the most confidence in the offense.  I think the defense can be solid, but there are a lot of older players, so I’m not sure how long it would hold up.

There are a ton of quality free agents in this year’s NFL free agency period, and this article highlighted just a few of them.
