Philadelphia Stars first-round QB in USFL Draft: Bryan Scott

Philadelphia Stars head coach: Bart Andrus

The Philadelphia Stars went for a slightly obscure player with their top pick in the 2022 USFL Draft, a player most NFL fans probably haven’t heard of unless you’re a roster deep-diver for some specific teams.

Bryan Scott has had stints with the CFL and The Spring League and got some tryouts with the Rams and Colts, and was named MVP of The Spring League in the 2020 season.

New Jersey Generals first-round QB: Ben Holmes

New Jersey Generals head coach: Mike Riley

The New Jersey Generals used their first-round pick on the pride of Tarleton State, quarterback Ben Holmes.

Holmes is smaller (only 6-feet tall) but is considered a dual-threat at the QB position and threw 62 touchdowns against just nine interceptions at Tarleton.

Watching some of what Holmes could do in The Spring League, he has a bit of a Baker Mayfield vibe to him and is intriguing in terms of his mobility.
