NFL Free Agency: Landing spots for three top wide receivers
NFL Free Agency wide receiver #3: Juju Smith-Schuster
Juju has made more Tik Toks than appeared in the NFL the past season. With injuries riddling his 2021 season, Juju sets to be a free agent. No Big Ben anymore, is it time to move on from the Steel Curtain as well?
As stated, injuries have hurt Juju’s status as a wide receiver, but make no mistake, he is one of the top slot receivers in the entire NFL. In 2020, Juju ran the most routes out of the slot position and the most routes out of ALL receivers.
Juju finished as the WR8 in 2018 and although the past is the past, that was not that long ago when Juju was a sure-fire WR1.
Now, with time passed, Juju is fully healthy, it is time for another team to give him that chance. In an offense such as Kansas City, where there has not been a WR2 in YEARS, Juju is the guy for the job.
In an Andy Reid offense, where it is Travis Kelce, Tyreek Hill, and then whoever is having a good Sunday follows. Juju will be that third weapon for Mahomes when teams are swarming Kelce and Hill.
