Adam Thielen destination no. 4: New York Jets

The New York Jets need to get quarterback Zach Wilson to help at wide receiver. Wilson showed flashes of greatness, but it’s hard to do anything beyond flashes when the surrounding talent is sub-par.

It won’t take long for the New York fans and media to turn on Wilson the way they did Sam Darnold. To prevent that from happening, they must get the young quarterback some help. Jamison Crowder (28) is on the market, leaving Corey Davis and Elijah Mitchell on the field. Sure, the pair of wideouts could surprise some people, but they need help.

Adam Thielen is a veteran guy who can come in and improve their offense. He’d give Wilson a chain-mover and a player who can minimize his weaknesses. In the red zone, Thielen and Davis will give Wilson two reliable targets and open up things for running back Michael Carter.

It shouldn’t take much for the Jets to get him on their roster, so they need to pull the trigger.

3. Philadelphia Eagles

Jalen Hurts is penciled in as the starter for now. No matter who they have a quarterback, the Eagles’ offense won’t find any success through the air. DeVonta Smith is the only notable wide receiver on their roster. He and Hurts had a great connection, but it wasn’t good enough.

The Eagles also have JJ Arcega-Whiteside and Jalean Rager, neither of which lived up to expectations. They need someone else who can make plays — Adam Thielen can be that guy.

Thielen, like Smith, is a crafty route runner who can make Hurts better. He wouldn’t have the same impact as he did in Minnesota due to the minimal pass attempts. However, his tenacity and crafty nature could help the Eagles in a major way.
