7. New York Giants (via Chicago Bears): Travon Walker, EDGE, Georgia

Last season, the New York Giants moved down in the draft as they traded with the Chicago Bears — who ended up taking Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields. Thanks to this trade, New York now owns the No. 7 pick in the 2022 NFL Draft and they use that on Travon Walker from Georgia.

Walker is listed at 6-foot-5 and 272-pounds and still ran a 4.51 in the 40-yard dash at the Scouting Combine. His freakish athleticism is enough to put him into the top-10 and he feels like a prospect who will be an even better pro than he was a collegiate player.

8. Atlanta Falcons: Garrett Wilson, WR, Ohio State

Speaking of teams that missed out on Deshaun Watson, the Atlanta Falcons were sure they had him but in the 11th hour, things fell apart. Now, they have to try and figure out what to do going forward and part of that plan will include replacing Calvin Ridley, who was suspended for the 2022 season.

Atlanta does land a solid replacement here as they pick up Garrett Wilson from Ohio State with the eighth pick. This class is absolutely loaded at the position and while it’s hard to figure out who will end up being the first taken, Wilson could wind up being that guy.

He does everything well and can stretch the defense with his speed. Atlanta is in desperate need of wideout help and he should be an immediate impact player.
