OT. Alabama. 31. Scouting Report. Evan Neal. 5. player. Pick Analysis

5. New York Giants: Evan Neal, OT, Alabama

With the first of two picks they own in the top-10, the New York Giants select Evan Neal from Alabama. They were fortunate to see Andrew Thomas turn things around last season following a slow start to his career but with Nate Solder on the way out, they need another starting tackle.

Neal is a massive player at 6-foot-7 and 337-pounds but he’s still very athletic. He can play on the left side but has the power to switch to the right — unless they believe Thomas is a better fit there. Whatever they decide, New York will be much better on the offensive line with Neal added to the mix.

Pick Analysis. QB. Liberty. Malik Willis. 6. player. Scouting Report. 87

6. Carolina Panthers: Malik Willis, QB, Liberty

The Carolina Panthers were one of the teams that fell short of landing Deshaun Watson, who eventually joined the Cleveland Browns. That means they still have Sam Darnold as their projected starter as of now — and after his performance in 2021, it’s safe to assume they would like to seek an upgrade.

They land that at No. 6 as they bring in Malik Willis from Liberty. Willis is a dual-threat that could really carve up defenses with his legs but also has the ability to air it out deep. He needs to refine some of his skills but overall, this is the best quarterback prospect in this class and he should do fine in Carolina.
