2022 NFL Mock Draft: Chiefs replace Tyreek Hill, Panthers land Pickett

5. New York Giants: Evan Neal, OT, Alabama
Another massive player, Evan Neal showed up at the combine standing over 6-foot-7 and weighed 337-pounds. He was a three-year starter at Alabama and should be able to step in and play from Week 1 for the New York Giants — who once again are looking to rebuild their offensive line.
With Andrew Thomas turning things around, they now have two quality tackles who can hold up on the edge. This will be important as new head coach Brian Daboll is going to be evaluating whether or not Daniel Jones is the guy for this team, and having a clean pocket will only help get an accurate assessment.
6. Carolina Panthers: Kenny Pickett, QB, Pitt
When the Cleveland Browns landed Deshaun Watson, the Carolina Panthers were one of the teams that appeared as though they could have some interest in Baker Mayfield. After all, they did try and get Newton as well, showing they’re looking for an upgrade over Sam Darnold.
However, it wasn’t long before reports emerged that they weren’t interested in the former No. 1 pick, and instead, they could be looking to the draft — which leads to the selection of Kenny Pickett from Pitt.
Pickett leaves one Panthers team for another as he ends up in a solid spot. Carolina has a couple of good wideouts and if Christian McCaffrey stays healthy, he could have plenty of help there as well.
