NFL Free Agency: JuJu Smith-Schuster dancing his way to Kansas City

Just a few years ago in 2018, JuJu Smith-Schuster finished as a WR1. Since that, things have gone downhill for the USC product.

Smith-Schuster had a down year after that with a finish of WR65 (injury) in 2019. Then, finished as the WR16 in 2020 and the WR133 (injury) in 2021.

The proof is there. The only two times Smith-Schuster has played a complete season, he was a WR1 (2018) and a WR2 in 2020.

Furthermore, Smith-Schuster has become a great value pick in drafts with the Tyreek Hill news as well. Now, Smith-Schuster is the WR1 in Kansas City with the best quarterback in the NFL.

A one-year deal was signed by Smith-Schuster. If JuJu Smith-Schuster needs a restart on his career, this is the right place in a pass-happy offense.

With no Tyreek Hill anymore, Mahomes will rely on Travis Kelce more than ever and the newly signed Smith-Schuster. Look to add Smith-Schuster in the later rounds of start-up drafts just like Allen Robinson with WR1 upside in the ninth round or later.
