Indianapolis Colts worst move in 2022 NFL Free Agency

Inactivity on the offensive line/not retaining Mark Glowinski

At this point, it’s got to be disappointing and maybe even unsettling to Colts fans that the team has taken such a casual approach to reloading the offensive line for the 2022 season.

Hasn’t that unit been the team’s bread and butter?

Jonathan Taylor is the MVP of this Colts roster and messing with the type of success he was able to have last season by downgrading or being overly patient with getting your starting five solidified is not a good idea.

The Colts have allowed both starting guard Mark Glowinski and starting tackle Eric Fisher to leave as free agents.

Glowinski has signed with the Giants, but Fisher still has a shot to return.

With Matt Ryan now coming in via trade and plenty of cap space on hand, it’s hard to fathom why the Colts haven’t been more aggressive in filling needs offensively in the 2022 offseason.

They have holes at receiver, tackle, and guard heading into the 2022 NFL Draft, and I would also argue tight end is a problem area.

Still, with Jonathan Taylor as the focal point of the offense, not bringing back key pieces on the offensive line could prove to be an unforgivable sin for GM Chris Ballard.
