Kyler Murray trade proposal No. 3: Carolina Panthers – Pick No. 6 in 2022, Round 1 Pick in 2023, and Christian McCaffrey

No one should expect Kyler Murray to bring in the same haul that Deshaun Watson did with the Cleveland Browns, but he will bring a lot. Just like with our first offer, this one includes a pick in the top-10 as well as a future first-rounder which feels like more than fair compensation.

That alone could be enough to get the Cardinals thinking about a move as they could use the Carolina Panthers pick at No. 6 for someone such as Kenny Pickett (should he still be there) or Malik Willis. Either one could start in 2022 if needed, and they would still have multiple picks in 2023 to build around whoever is their new franchise leader.

In an effort to sweeten the pot and beat out teams that might have a similar offer, Carolina can throw in Christian McCaffrey who is also reportedly on the block. McCaffrey was once one of the more dominant players in the NFL but hasn’t played a full season since 2019.

When he last played the entire year, however, he put up 2,392 yards from scrimmage. His addition could be a risk but if they wind up with a rookie quarterback starting from day one, it could be a risk worth taking since he would be able to take a load off their plate. On top of that, pairing him with James Conner could help keep McCaffrey from being overused and beaten up.
