Kyler Murray trade proposal No. 2: Pittsburgh Steelers – Picks No. 20 and No. 52 in 2022, Round 1 and 3 picks in 2023

As it stands right now, the Pittsburgh Steelers are set to start Mitchell Trubisky under center. If that doesn’t already sound like a downgrade from Ben Roethlisberger, then just look at the quarterbacks they will be facing in the AFC North — Joe Burrow, Lamar Jackson, and Deshaun Watson.

Now, if they happen to get out of the North, they then have to take on gun-slingers such as Patrick Mahomes, Justin Herbert, Russell Wilson, and Josh Allen. In short, the AFC is stacked at the most important position in the game.

While stopping those quarterbacks falls on the defense, there will be times that a team will need to win via shootout, and having Kyler Murray in your corner gives you a much better chance than Mitch Trubisky.

The problem for the Steelers in trying to make this move is that they don’t have near as much draft capital as the previous teams mentioned — nor the final one we are about to get to. That’s why they end up offering their Round 1 and 2 picks this season as well as their first and third in 2023.

Arizona can then use those picks to move around if necessary and bring in a signal-caller this season. Or they could even look ahead to the 2023 class if they feel that’s a better move for them.
