Power ranking the top NFL wide receiver trios for all 32 teams
Best NFL wide receiver trios in the league today
16. Carolina Panthers- DJ Moore, Robby Anderson, Rashard Higgins
Carolina is another team that is competent quarterback play from taking off. As of this writing, it’s rumored the Panthers are the front runner to land Baker Mayfield. Will it matter?
DJ Moore is a star, and Robby Anderson is a rangy, fast, deep threat. Rashard Higgins could bring a tiny bit of chemistry if the Panthers land Mayfield, but despite who is quarterbacking in 2022, the upside is capped. DJ Moore alone elevates this trio to the middle of the pack.
15. Arizona Cardinals- DeAndre Hopkins, AJ Green, Rondale Moore
This ranking depends on DeAndre Hopkins. In 2020 Hopkins was his normal dominant self, but in 2021 he fell off. Way off. Injuries took their toll, and Kyler Murray took a step back. So can Hopkins bounce back as he approaches 30? This ranking says yes.
Rondale Moore had a low key good rookie campaign, and the ghost of AJ Green even flashed at times. If everything falls into place like I think it will, this becomes a top half unit.
14. Tennessee Titans- AJ Brown, Robert Woods, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine
The offense in Nashville has, and will always run through Derrick Henry. This doesn’t mean however that the wide receivers can’t excel. A big key may be Robert Woods. Everyone knows AJ Brown is an absolute beast, but he has had to be, without a secondary threat to take the pressure off him.
A healthy Woods could be the key to unlocking the potential of this passing game. Factor in a sneaky third option like Westbrook-Ikhine, and Brown could see fewer doubles, leading to this unit taking a huge step forward.
13. Pittsburgh Steelers- Dionte Johnson, Chase Claypool, Anthony Miller
The Steeler receiving corps should take a step forward after the retirement of Ben Roethlisberger. Despite being a future Hall of Famer, Ben had clearly lost his downfield potential.
The addition of Mitch Trubisky, while not sexy, should benefit Johnson, and particularly Claypool since he can throw the ball more than twenty yards downfield. Anthony Miller is an interesting wild card. Miller fell out of favor in Chicago, but can absolutely fly and has flashed in the past.
Perhaps relying on Mitch Trubisky will prove this high of a ranking foolish, but the talent is there if they can put it together.
