NFL star Kadarius Toney traded during the 2022 NFL Draft?

A name that just recently made his way onto the trade block, Kadarius Toney is coming off of a good but injury-riddled rookie season.

When on the field, Toney was a dynamic route runner who was a force with the ball in his hands. Even though he was struggling with injury all season, he was a dynamic presence when on the field. He was a great threat even though he had lackluster quarterback play.

While the reasoning for trading Toney isn’t completely clear yet, assuming the Giants are ready to move on after just one season, there should be a market for the talented receiver.

Toney is a natural fit in the slot and can serve as a traditional X receiver on the outside. His route running allows him to naturally get open and he has running back-like traits with the ball in his hands.

One would have to imagine that the brunt of a deal for him would consist of a pick or picks from next season. The Giants will likely want to protect themselves in case he has an incredible year.

Trading him doesn’t make a lot of sense on paper, but New York seems ready to move on from the young receiver. Don’t be surprised to see him moved at some point during the draft.
