NFL star Deebo Samuel traded during the 2022 NFL Draft?

The big-ticket item during this offseason, the league has gone into a frenzy upon hearing that Deebo Samuel wants to be traded.

The veteran is coming off his best season as a professional with almost 1800 total yards and 14 scores. He is the poster child of an offensive weapon that everyone is now trying to find for their own team.

Samuel’s success isn’t a secret; he excels as a receiver but is incredible with the ball in his hands as a runner. He took on the role of a hybrid running back on more than one occasion as he carried the ball 59 total times last season.

Anytime he got the ball in his hands he was looking to make a big play. He was the key reason the 49ers even made a push for the playoffs. He was that good as a player.

The issue seems to stem from the fact that his contract expires at the end of this season, and he likely wants to be the highest-paid receiver in football.

If the 49ers aren’t willing to make that deal, trading him during the draft is a logical next step. It will be a costly move for whatever team acquires Samuel, but he is a dynamic weapon that can aid any offense.
