AFC West QB no. 4: Derek Carr, Las Vegas Raiders

Yes, the quarterback of the Las Vegas Raiders, who dons a #4 jersey, is the last ranked quarterback in the AFC West.

While Carr has been crushing the Raiders’ history books in terms of records, overall passing yards, and fourth-quarter comebacks, he has minimal accomplishments when it comes to the postseason.

While Carr broke the cold streak and made it to the Wild Card round of the 2021 playoffs they departed on a last-minute goal-line interception to the Bengals.

Prior to that the Raiders last made the playoffs in 2016, a game that Carr did not get to play in due to an injury.

Carr had a decent season statistically; throwing for 4,804 passing yards, 24 touchdowns with 14 interceptions, and one of his higher completion percentages of 68.4 percent.

Carr fumbled the ball 13 times, just one less than the leader in fumbles, Cowboys QB Dak Prescott.

Carr needs to take care of the ball better but is armed with arguably the best receiver he’s ever had in Davante Adams expectations are high for the 2021 season.

If Carr wants to rise in the rankings he needs to make it to the postseason, take care of the ball, and improve in the red zone.
