There are a number of teams with outstanding cornerback duos heading into the 2022 NFL season. Which teams have the best duos?

You can never have too many good cornerbacks in today’s NFL.

As the NFL has evolved, most teams play in their nickel alignment 60-75 percent of the time, if not more. Because of that, there are effectively 96 “starting” cornerback spots in the NFL today and there are certainly some teams built better at that position than others.

Which teams have the top cornerback duos in the NFL heading into 2022? Let’s take a look at the top 10.

Top NFL CB duo no. 10: Philadelphia Eagles – Darius Slay, James Bradberry

The Philadelphia Eagles have certainly gotten some really good football out of veteran Darius Slay, who was acquired a couple of years ago in a trade with the Detroit Lions.

This season, Slay is finally going to be joined by another very solid veteran player at the position in free agent signing James Bradberry, who boosts a tremendously upgraded overall defensive unit for the Eagles in 2022.

Defensive coordinator Jonathan Gannon has already been getting some head coaching looks but with the secondary the Eagles have assembled in 2022, he’s almost certain to land a job in the 2023 circuit.

Having playmakers like Slay and Bradberry on the back end could take this Philadelphia defense to the next level.
