The NFL is a tough business for many players, even some of the most notable one. Which three players are entering a make or break year in 2022?

The NFL, at the end of the day, is a business.  Teams will at some point have to make incredibly tough decisions emotionally and financially.

Going into the 2022 season, it’s no different.  There are quite a few players across the league entering huge seasons for a variety of reasons.  Some might be gunning for a new contract, while some are entering a year that could determine their future viability in the NFL.

A lot of these players are indeed quarterbacks, who are put under a very tough microscope and are analyzed at every avenue.

However, there are more than just quarterbacks that are under a ton of pressure in 2022 and future seasons.

One thing about the NFL that sticks out from the other major professional sports leagues is the shelf life.  The average NFL career only lasts about three seasons, and with the physical toll the game takes on their bodies, players are wanting to cash in as quickly as possible.

Earning that generational money as soon as possible helps set them and their families up for their futures.

So, which three players are in a make-or-break year in 2022?

3. Jerry Jeudy, WR, Denver Broncos

Pick Analysis. Wide Receiver. . Jerry Jeudy. Scouting Report. 3. player. 45

The 2020 draft class of wide receivers was largely considered one of the best receiver draft classes ever, and Jeudy was usually on the top of that list as being the best one in that class.

Through two seasons, though, he hasn’t done a ton of work on the field to warrant the hype he received.

He battle poor quarterback play during his rookie season but still managed to put up about 850 receiving yards.

His production was not nearly as good in year two as he dealt with an injury that kept him out for several weeks.

Now, he’s got a clean slate entering year two with an elite quarterback.

His recent off-field mess seems to have been mostly solved, and I do not think he’s going to get suspended for it.

It’s up to Jeudy to take on that Davante Adams-type role in an offense now being crafted by new Head Coach Nathaniel Hackett.

Since Denver is three legitimate wide receivers deep, Jeudy may not put up 1,300 yards and 10 touchdowns, but if the team does not see noticeable improvement on-field, I would expect them to entertain trade offers for the player after the 2022 season.

The team recently signed Courtland Sutton and Tim Patrick to extensions, so they aren’t exactly hurting in the pass-catcher department.
