Cleveland Browns: Zaire Mitchell-Paden, TE, Florida Atlantic
It was a bit of a surprise that the Cleveland Browns didn’t draft a tight end this spring. Head coach Kevin Stefanski is known for using multiple players at the position and after releasing Austin Hooper, they now have only two on the roster with real experience.
The No. 1 guy is David Njoku, who just signed a massive extension, and behind him is Harrison Bryant. Both are capable players and even with just them on the roster, the Browns would have one of the better tight end corps in the NFL.
Even with their talent, the team is going to keep at least three tight ends on the 53-man roster. Right now there’s no favorite but one player who could end up making his way to the team is Zaire Mitchell-Paden.
Mitchell-Paden started his career at Notre Dame College in South Euclid, Ohio then transferred to Florida Atlantic, which is where the Browns found Harrison Bryant. Not only does Mitchell-Paden have the athleticism and size (6-foot-5, 267-pounds), but he’s also built in the same mold as David Njoku — meaning he’s a physical specimen.
No idea if former @NDCFB tight end Zaire Mitchell-Paden is gonna make it with the #Browns but the young man is UBER talented and a physical specimen. @NDCFalcons (Photos by Brian Fisher) @newsheraldinoh pic.twitter.com/FAdJEbMbp9

He’s not just insanely cut either, but he’s a solid route-runner with a lot of upside. It would make a lot of sense for Cleveland to keep him on the roster and groom him for a bigger role down the stretch.
