Full seeding predictions for all 16 NFC teams in the 2022 NFL season

No. 12 – New York Giants

A new era in New York has brought decent results so far.  It’s a Buffalo reunion as Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll try and make the Giants great again.

Shoen had a good first draft, highlighted by Evan Neal and Kayvon Thibodeaux.  They also had a nice addition along the offensive line in Mark Glowinski and John Feliciano.

It remains to be seen if Daniel Jones can figure it out, but if they’re 12 in my rankings, then there’s a good chance that he didn’t.

I don’t think Jones is someone that should be viewed as a franchise QB.  This will be a telling year, but Daniel Jones is going to hold the team back a bit, leaving them looking for a new QB in 2023.

No. 11 – Carolina Panthers

I really want the Panthers to be good, but unless they make a move for Jimmy Garoppolo or Baker Mayfield, they won’t be.

They had stellar offseason, in my opinion, re-signing a ton of their own players and turning a glaring weakness into a strength along their offensive line.

Adding Ikey Ekwonu, Austin Corbett, and Bradley Bozeman makes the Panthers’ o-line something worthwhile.  They’ve also got a ton of talent with their offensive skill players and on every level of their defense, like Brian Burns and Jeremy Chinn.

The Panthers are close.  If they can swing a trade for Jimmy G or Mayfield, they’ll be a Wild Card team, easily.
