Identifying weaknesses for each AFC West team for 2022 NFL season

Las Vegas Raiders – Offensive line

The Raiders’ offensive line isn’t going to be very good for 2022.  It wasn’t that special in 2021, either.

Kolton Miller is by far the best player in that unit, the team’s left tackle, and it wasn’t that long ago we were all in awe by the Raiders’ offensive line, which featured Rodney Hudson, a Hall of Very Good center, Gabe Jackson, Richie Incognito, and Trent Brown.

Now, outside of Miller, the rest of the positions don’t seem to be solidified, with names like Andre James, Alex Leatherwood, John Simpson, and Denzelle Good looking to play meaningful football in 2022.

The over-drafting of Leatherwood was an awful decision, as his rookie year was a disaster.

However, Derek Carr hasn’t ever seemed to let the unit bug him, as he does get the ball out very quickly, and the team did go 10-7 last year and improved on paper this year.

It’s clear that the Raiders will likely win a good bit of games in 2022, but their offensive line probably won’t do them any favors.
