4 reasons the Kansas City Chiefs will disappoint fans in 2022
Reason no. 1: Losing Tyreek Hill is detrimental to the offense
Every NFL team is looking for some kind of way to replicate the speed of Tyreek Hill within their offense.
There are plenty of guys who can run a 40-yard dash in under 4.4 seconds. There are even a handful of other guys that can run faster than 4.3.
What other players simply cannot do is play the game as fast as Tyreek Hill.
What Hill is able to do on the field is like what The Flash can do. It seems like everything else is just standing still by comparison to how fast he plays the game.
Now, he’ll be playing for the Miami Dolphins in 2022.
I don’t think this loss can be overstated for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Having Tyreek Hill made every aspect of the Chiefs’ offense better.
Having him on the field prevented teams from being able to load the box. You can’t single-cover Tyreek Hill. You have to respect him with a deep safety.
Having Hill on the field opened things up for Travis Kelce underneath. Having him on the field gave other receivers more favorable matchups.
Hill is also one of the best receivers in the NFL when it comes to scramble drill. If the play breaks down and Patrick Mahomes has to run out of the pocket, which receivers are going to find open grass the way Hill does?
He’s exceptional at it and it’s not a loss that people should be underrating at this point.
Hill’s presence for the Chiefs was undeniable and it will be fascinating to see how both sides do without each other — Hill without Mahomes, Mahomes/the Kansas City Chiefs without Hill.
