Reason no. 2 the Buccaneers will disappoint: Bruce Arians no longer HC

Do the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have everything they need in order to keep things going smoothly without Bruce Arians in the head coach chair?

Absolutely.

Todd Bowles should be an exceptional head coach for the Bucs this season, as we’ve seen him do an outstanding job with the team’s defense over the last handful of years.

Byron Leftwich was thought to be as good as gone this offseason in the 2022 head coaching circuit but even he’s back for more work as the Buccaneers’ offensive coordinator.

Then you’ve got Tom Brady, who certainly has a good feel for what he’s doing out there.

It’s not as though Bruce Arians is absolutely the only catalyst for the Buccaneers’ success, but you can’t help but wonder how much of a role he played in what they were able to do well week in and week out.

Arians has been a tremendous head coach and he was important enough that it sounds like the Buccaneers had a plan to keep him in place as the head man if Tom Brady hadn’t come out of retirement.

As it worked out, Arians now is playing a consultant role for the Bucs with Brady back in the fold, and we’ll have to see how not having him out there affects the Bucs in the week to week, with certain in-game decisions, and maybe even just having to replace that voice of leadership the team is so used to.
