Most overrated player on every NFL team in the 2022 season

Los Angeles Rams: Cam Akers, RB
The Los Angeles Rams really believe in Cam Akers.
A former second-round pick out of Florida State, Akers rushed for 625 yards and two touchdowns as a rookie in 2020. Then last season, he was expected to be their featured back but then he tore his Achilles in July.
He does deserve a ton of credit for somehow returning in Week 17, but all he did in that game was knock off some rust as he had five rushes for just three yards. Then in the playoffs, he became their No. 1 back again, getting 67 rushing attempts in their four games.
Unfortunately, he didn’t do much with those as he scored no touchdowns and had just 2.57 yards per attempt. Even with the limited production, they continued to feed Akers, keeping Sony Michel as the second back and Darrell Henderson on the sideline.
This was odd considering Henderson (who had just four carries in the postseason) averaged 4.6 yards per attempt during the year, going for 688 total. Michel was the leading rusher though, with 845 yards during the regular season and he received just 26 attempts in the postseason.
Now, L.A. is rolling with Akers again as Michel is in Miami. Perhaps they’ll be proven right, but it feels like a lot of faith is being placed in a player who has yet to prove himself.
