JC Tretter, C: Las Vegas Raiders

Heading into the 2022 NFL season, few teams have as bad of an offensive line as the Las Vegas Raiders. The Raiders can’t be oblivious to this, can they? They’ve got to go out and do something, whether that’s making a trade, scouring waivers, or plucking the best remaining guys off of the NFL free agents heap.

JC Tretter is certainly one of the best NFL free agents still available and he’s got the ability to come in and start right away for pretty much any team. The question at this point is why the Raiders have been so frugal with the offensive line when they are expecting a lot out of the offense in 2022.

Eric Fisher, OT: Pittsburgh Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers are likely going to be breaking in their rookie quarterback sooner rather than later. Because that’s the case, the Steelers should undoubtedly be looking for every possible way to upgrade their offensive line. Having a porous offensive line be the reason why Kenny Pickett struggles as a rookie is not going to be a valid excuse when you look back on the number of ways the Steelers could have upgraded through available NFL free agents.

Eric Fisher, the top pick of the 2013 NFL Draft, remains available after starting at left tackle for the Indianapolis Colts last year. He may not be an elite starter but he’s solid and could give the Steelers some much-needed stability.
