Russell Wilson should easily eclipse his touchdown prop in his new offense

Pick Analysis. 1.1u to win 1u. . Russell Wilson Over 31.5 Passing Touchdowns -110 . 2. Scouting Report. player. 45

  • Has thrown at least 31 in 4 of last 5 years
  • Stronger O-line in Denver
  • Hackett as a first-time coach should defer to veteran
  • Six AFC West high-scoring matchups

Our one-player prop in this article comes with one of the more interesting storylines of the NFL season. Russell Wilson had some of his worst stats in recent years in 2021, though that was largely due to injury. In the games he did play he looked like his usual efficient self, although was of course hindered by his poor offensive line and run-heavy play calling.

In Denver, he finds himself in a completely opposite situation. His head coach Nathaniel Hackett is a first-time head coach, and where Pete Carroll loved to instill his obsolete style of football onto the Seahawks’ offense, Hackett will likely defer to the veteran Wilson on the style of offense he wants to run. Now looking at the prop, there are plenty of other numbers to back taking the over here, especially considering it is a relatively modest total for a player the caliber of Russell Wilson.

Wilson gets a much stronger offensive line in Denver and has strong receivers and a run game to compliment him. Additionally, he has eclipsed this 31.5 number in three of the last five seasons with one of the misses falling exactly on 31 touchdowns. As a final support of the over, the Broncos will face AFC West opponents six times this year which will all project to be some of the highest scoring games of the year, a stark contrast from his NFC West defensive battles. With that being said, Russell Wilson o31.5 touchdowns is one of my favorite bets of the season.
