One thing we’ve come to learn early on in the 2022 NFL season? Expect the unexpected every single week, especially when it comes to making NFL picks and predictions. We’re ready for Week 7 after another exciting Sunday afternoon, which was headlined by the highly anticipated matchup between the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills. That game absolutely lived up to the hype, but there were plenty of other twists and turns with the Jets getting a convincing win in Green Bay against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers as well as the New York Giants erasing a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter against Lamar Jackson and the Ravens.

Again, expect the unexpected. This week’s NFL picks are certainly not anymore straightforward than previous weeks as teams begin to blend together record-wise all around the league. There are 21 teams right now with two or three wins. Who will be getting victories in Week 7?

We went 11-5 on picks in Week 5, and followed that up with a solid 8-6 in Week 6. Let’s make our NFL picks and predictions for Week 7 action.

New Orleans Saints (2-4) @ Arizona Cardinals (2-4)

Thursday, October 20, 8:15 PM ET (Amazon Prime)

This game is all about the return of DeAndre Hopkins for the Cardinals, and for the Saints, hopefully, the return of at least one wide receiver. The lack of receiver help for each of these teams has been a key reason why both are 2-4 going into a rather uninspiring Thursday night matchup.

I’m sure Al Michaels is thrilled.

At any rate, this game will have an infusion of intrigue thanks to the arrival of Hopkins to the Arizona lineup, and that could ultimately end up being the game-changer they need to get things right this season. Even at 2-4, the Cardinals are still right in the mix in the NFC West as every other team in that division is 3-3 right now. It’s a short week following a loss, but I think the Cardinals can get things together offensively with the return of Hopkins against the Saints.

New Orleans could also be getting back some weapons in this game but I think Arizona will rally.

Prediction: Cardinals win 28-23
