2. Greedy Williams, CB, Cleveland Browns

At 2-5, and in the midst of a four-game losing streak, the Cleveland Browns have made it known a couple of players are available. Dallas shouldn’t have any interest in Kareem Hunt but one of the players Cleveland is shopping could be of interest.

Greedy Williams was considered a potential first-round pick in 2019 coming out of LSU but slid into the second round. Former general manager John Dorsey traded up in the second in order to bring Williams to Cleveland but he has yet to live up to his status.

Injuries have been a major reason for this as he missed four games as a rookie while also sitting out the entire 2020 campaign with a shoulder issue. He returned to play in 16 games last season and had 41 tackles with two picks. Unfortunately, the injury bug struck again as he’s missed five games this year.

Now healthy, the Browns are ready to move on with him in the final year of his deal. Dallas could use his services due to an injury of their own. Jourdan Lewis was lost for the remainder of the season due to a foot injury suffered in their win over Detroit.

Listed at 6-foot-2 and 185-pounds, Williams has excellent length and can flat-out fly, which he showed at the 2019 NFL Scouting Combine.

Adding Williams would give them another capable starter that fits nicely in Dan Quinn’s defense. His combination of length and speed is enticing and while there’s a chance he gets hurt again, they could simply move on after 2022 if they wanted. Plus that injury history could be enough to drop his price enough for the Cowboys to consider the move.
