JuJu Smith-Schuster

One of the first wide receivers that come to mind is Juju Smith-Schuster, who had been with the Pittsburgh Steelers for a number of years and this season joined the Kansas City Chiefs. At one time, he was considered one of the top young wide receivers but after a few down years was looking to re-establish his value this offseason.

This offseason he signed a one-year deal worth $3.75 million in what essentially amounts to a prove-it deal. That move has appeared to pay off as he has had one of the best seasons in recent memory with 52 receptions, 688 receiving yards, and two touchdowns.

The stat that jumps out the most though is a catch rate of 73.2%, which is the second-highest mark in his career. A player like that would have been a great addition to the Bills’ offense as a reliable pass catcher for Josh Allen when he needs to pick up first downs.
