Buffalo Bills

Prior to joining the New England Patriots, Rob Gronkowski grew up a Buffalo Bills fan in Western New York. He has talked on a number of occasions about playing football in the backyard and pretending to be Eric Moulds and Takeo Spikes.

While he has never gotten the chance to play for his hometown team, there was certainly interest from the Bills during this past offseason according to The Athletic’s Tim Graham. The team didn’t get a chance to bring him in as a free agent due to his retirement but with where the Bills are currently positioned as the number one seed in the AFC and a potential Super Bowl favorite, it could be just the right situation to lure him out of retirement.

As for the Buffalo Bills, the need for a second tight end still exists in this offense behind Dawson Knox. They tried to address it by signing Gronkowski’s former teammate in O.J. Howard however was released prior to the season and Quintin Morris has served primarily in that spot as the second tight end.

The connection to the area combined with a need for another tight end would make the Buffalo Bills a logical spot.
