Reason no. 1: Gang Green Will Lose Their Minds

The Jets fan base is one of the primary reasons why the Jets need to land Aaron Rodgers and finalize this trade. This fan base has been begging for a quality quarterback capable of leading them to the playoffs (which they haven’t been to since 2010). The last truly great quarterback the Jets had also wore #12, Joe Namath who brought the Jets their lone Super Bowl victory in 1969. That was also the only Super Bowl the Jets have ever participated in.

Fans of “Gang Green” are salivating at the thought of Aaron Rodgers abandoning his lifelong team in Green Bay and joining the Jets when it appears that they are one quarterback away from being a successful franchise. The Jets have playmakers on both sides of the ball but the quarterback position has been a constant question mark for decades.

Long-time Jets diehard fan, ESPN’s Mike Greenberg, symbolized the Jet’s excitement perfectly in his reaction video after hearing Rodgers declare his intent to play for the Jets on the Pat McAfee show.

The Jets fan base deserves this. The Jets’ front office and coaching staff have a chance to field an above-average Jets team in a very competitive division if they can close the door on this trade. Get Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets and the fan base, the team, and the general manager will all be instant winners.
