The reigning NFC champions were one win away from being super bowl champions in 2022, yet somehow they seem to have won the 2023 NFL Draft. The Eagles had five picks in the first 105, giving them all the ammo they need to make a legitimate second run at the Lombardi trophy.

Last season it was their defense that made the difference for them so having last a few key players, it was only right they went back and retooled on that side of the ball. The Eagles decided to recreate one of the best college defenses in recent history, the only question is how on earth did the rest of the league let them do it?

In 2022, the Eagles took defensive tackle Jordan Davis and linebacker Nakobe Dean, this year they went back and took Jalen Carter and Nolan Smith to join their defensive line, then took cornerback Kelee Ringo to make it five Georgia Bulldog players drafted in two years.

There is no doubt the Eagles’ offense will be as good if not better than it was in 2022, especially now with the addition of running back Deandre Swift on draft night.

The Philadelphia Eagles have firmly placed themselves as favorites to represent the NFC once again in the super bowl. If you thought they were stacked last year, they look even better going into the 2023 season.
