The 2023 Denver Broncos are this year’s breakout team

The 2023 Denver Broncos have all the makings of being this year’s breakout team in the NFL. There is bound to be one, and Denver is a great candidate.  Last year, I think two teams fit this mold.  Both the New York Giants and Jacksonville Jaguars broke out and shocked the NFL world.  The two teams each won nine games in the regular season and each won a playoff game.

Well, this year, there are going to be a few teams vying for that unofficial title, and I think the one team that makes it happen the most is the Denver Broncos.  The Broncos have had a pretty solid offseason, most notably trading for Sean Payton, who is a future Hall of Fame head coach and an elite offensive mind, which is something Denver has coveted sine Gary Kubiak.

Well, Sean Payton is in town, and he brings a decade and a half of NFL excellence.  His win percentage over a 17-game season actually comes out to 11 games won per year.  So, we could reasonably expect the Denver Broncos to win 11 games this year if Sean Payton’s winning percentage remains at its current pace.

Wilson has bought in to the offense that Sean Payton is installing, and Payton’s no nonsense attitude is exactly what the Broncos have needed for years.  Watch out for this team in 2023.
