Seattle Seahawks @ Washington Commanders, 1:00 PM ET
We could see two backup QBs in this one, as Drew Lock has been getting the work for the Seattle Seahawks with Sam Darnols out, and Jayden Daniels now has a dislocated elbow. Let's start with the Seahawks. Lock has more than held his own and has helped his team to a 2-0 start.
Seattle hasn't exactly played a gauntlet of teams, though, as they defeated New England in Week 1 and Arizona in Week 2. Those are two shaky teams, at best right now. Lock has played quite well though and is playing precisely how any team would want their backup to play.
The Seahawks also have enough roster talent to overcome losing their starter for a few games, but the same absolutely cannot be said for Washington, a team that features little, if any, top-end roster talent and a QB that cannot stay healthy.
This already feels like another lost year for the Commanders. Outside of landing Daniels in the 2024 NFL Draft, who now may be firmly in the injury-prone category, what else has this current regime in Washington been able to do?
It's a pretty ugly operation overall, and I am not sure the head coach doesn't get the boot here in the coming weeks. While this game is at home for the Commanders, I am not sure this team has a single avenue to win.
Seattle's defensive line is going to feast on what might be the worst offensive line in the sport, and this could be another blowout game that becomes one quite early on.
Givbe me the Seahawks to beat the Commanders by nearly 20 points in Week 3. A 3-0 start should be coming for the defending Super Bowl champions.
