In the blink of an eye, the month of September is gone, and the 2026 NFL season is officially in full swing.
After an absolutely fantastic slate of games in Week 3, NFL fans are going to be in for a treat with some big-time matchups in Week 4. This particular week has everything, starting with an underrated divisional matchup on Thursday night between the Steelers and Browns.
As unexpectedly fun as that game now looks, that's far from the end of it. We've got the first Patriots-Bills matchup of the season. The undefeated Raiders are hosting the undefeated Chiefs. The Broncos and 49ers have a clash in San Francisco. The Jaguars are taking on the Bengals in what could be an epic shootout.

Heading into Week 3 action, this matchup between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns was about as uninteresting of a primetime matchup as you could have possibly drawn up.
Now?
The script has been flipped. Not only is this game interesting on paper, but it has some real implications in the AFC North. Yes, it’s still early in the season, but the Cleveland Browns are 2-1 and tied for the best record in the division. As a matter of fact, literally every team in the AFC North is 2-1.
Every single game matters tremendously, and the Browns are playing some great football, so let’s just start there.
We’ve all taken our shots at Deshaun Watson, and deservedly so. Watson was horrendous for a long time when we’ve actually seen him on the field. He’s been one of the league’s biggest off-field distractions. His contract is an albatross. There was simply no way the Browns were going to play good football this season with Watson at the helm.
Until they did.
I was personally of the opinion that playing Watson was a monumental waste of time for the Browns. I have to eat crow on that take. He’s played great football the last two weeks, leading the Browns to impressive wins over the Buccaneers and Panthers.
Speaking of eating crow, the Steelers made me eat some this past week as well. Their win against the Bengals was one of the most impressive of the week, not because they won by a large margin, but because they really got it together offensively.
As far as this matchup on a short week? I think whatever you decide you’re going to expect, it’s going to be the opposite of that. Expecting a defensive battle? It’s going to be a shootout. Expecting a wacky shootout? It’s going to be a barn-burner.
The Steelers are 2.5-point favorites on the road but I’m going to buy that the clock isn’t going to strike midnight on the Browns just yet.
Prediction: Browns win 27-23
